The Valentines: Nashville Photographer

It has been entirely too long since I have seen this family! I could not believe how tall and grown up Jack and Kate are now. They are 6 and 3, but look and act SO much older. I just could not get over it! They even braved the crazy heat today (my clothes were stuck to me by the end).

So good to see you all!

Brittany & Ricky: Nashville Engagement Photographer

Brittany & Ricky are getting married this September at Lost River Cave in Kentucky. After they drove down for their engagement session yesterday, I am now even more excited to work with them! They were game for pretty much everything (even if it meant they ended up with ticks everywhere). Not only are they adorable together, but they are pretty nice to look at as well. I had such a great time with these two.

 Enjoy!

What is one word people would use to describe you as a couple?
Devoted

What are your favorite "together" activities?
Watching movies, hiking with
Bella (our fur child), playing Mortal Combat, board games, cookingtogether, dancing to 90’s music for no reason, and watching whole seasonsof shows in one day.

Where was your first date? What did you do?
Our first date was at Huddle House in college. It was the student hang out
because they gave free pancakes at night. We sat there for hours just talking.

Where did your proposal take place?
We were watching a movie and he just asked! No bells and whistles needed…

What makes him/her sexy to you?
Brittany: "His dedication to whatever he is doing is something that I admire
so much. Anything he sets his mind to, he can do. Okay, watching him play guitar is pretty darn sexy too! Can’t forget that…"
Ricky: "Her kind heart. She cares about everything and everybody, no matter
what."

What is something crazy you have done together?
We were actually in the mosh pit at a Black Label Society concert. We probably
looked like two of the biggest misfits among all of the bikers in leather you
have ever seen. It was pretty comical after I got over the initial terror of it
all.

What do you both do for a living?
Brittany is a Career Counselor working with individuals who struggle with mental illness and maintaining employment. Ricky is an auditor with the Kentucky
Department of Revenue.

How would you describe your style?
We are pretty laid back and casual. Go with the flow kind of people!

Brittany & Ricky, I hope you love your preview! I can't wait for your wedding!
xoxo

Ellie, 1 year: Nashville Baby Photographer

I haven't seen Ellie since her newborn session and I was so excited to have her back yesterday. This girl is just full of personality and is walking all over the place now! She has a big, toothy smile and the greatest little giggle. She also gave us a little dance party at the end. Loved seeing this family again! Happy Birthday, Ellie!

Jude, 3 months: Nashville Baby Photographer

Jude's Mom came in bragging on what a happy baby he was and I was ready to see those smiles! It took him a bit to warm up and then I got the most delightful squeals. He was so sleepy toward the end and actually took about a 45 second cat nap, but it refueled him just enough for a couple more grins. I love his rolls!

The Dark Room & iPad Series

I shot these in a completely dark room with an iPad being the only light source. I'm kind of in love with this series. They are beautifully haunting...

Ian only has one shot because it required Averie to hold the iPad (which is not a good job for a 4 year-old)

The Bouviers: Smyrna, TN Photographer

I was so sad when the Bouviers moved to Texas, but completely thrilled when I heard they were going to come back to visit me!! Corinne has grown so much and is even more beautiful (if that's possible). She just turned 2 and is also going to have a baby sister in a few months. We had a great time last night walking through the "park" together.

It was SO good to see you Stephanie & Brian!!

Emmaline, 8 days: Nashville Newborn Photographer {Middle TN Newborn Photographer}

I was pretty tempted to bring Emmaline home with me after her session this afternoon. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, but she kept smiling and me and didn't poop on anything. I didn't even care that I forgot my "newborn clothes" and had to sweat her shoot out in jeans. She was worth every minute!

I can't wait to watch her grow!

Lily Kate, 6 months: Nashville Baby Photographer

Lily Kate was in a very serious mood when we started. Turns out, that was all because she was wet and waiting for one of us to figure it out. Ha ha! After she was changed, we got tons of sweet smiles. I just love seeing this girl!
